How do I get a library card?
A library card can be obtained by showing proof of a Meeker mailing address to the librarian at the front desk.
How do I renew my books?
A patrons books can be renewed several different ways. It can be done over the phone, just give us a call at 878-5911 and we can renew them for you. You can also log into your account to renew them by using your library card number for both username and password on our catalog website, which can be accessed here. It can also be done in the library, just ask the front desk.
How do I find a book/how is the library organized?
The library is organized by the Dewey Decimal System. We also have the building sectioned into Adult Fiction, Reference, Young Adult, Juvenile Fiction & Non-Fiction, Adult Non-Fiction, Audiobooks, DVD's, and a Children's Room. Any librarian at the library would be happy to help you find a specific book as well!
Does the library have a kids section?
Yes, the Meeker Public Library does have a kids section and it can be found towards the back of the building next to the Reference Room.
What kind of books does the library have?
The library is diligent on creating a collection that represents the community as a whole and strives to reflect the diversity of the patrons we serve.
How can I request a book from another library?
Patrons can request or 'interlibrary loan' a book that we don't have from another library. This can be done in the library or by phone, information needed would be the title and the author of the book.
Is there a room I can reserve for a meeting or event?
Yes, we have a community room that is available to reserve. A large screen and projector is also available for use. Can be reserved over the phone or in person.
